Apps

Simple or multiplayer version?

All of appolino applications are available in two versions: a single-user version and a multi-user version. The content of both versions is exactly the same; they differ solely in the number of users who follow and manage their progress.

The single-user version is intended for schools where the facilities are adapted to work on a face-to-face base as well as for families. Each application can handle only one learning level at the time. The single-user version is recognizable at the label in the upper left corner.

The multi-user version is for schools in which tablets enable various users to work at the same time. In addition, it allows to work simultaneously on four learning levels. The multiuser version is recognizable at the label in the upper left corner.

Number & Amount

In appolino® Number & Quantity, numbers are allocated, built up and complemented. In practical exercises, differentiated internal images are created in the number ranges up to 20, up to 100 and up to 1000. These form the basis for acquiring a solid understanding of operations. Clever learning and task guidance ensure that the children are selectively directed from the operational level to the symbol level of the numbers.

Plus & Minus

In appolino® Plus & Minus, addition and subtraction are practiced in the number ranges up to 20, up to 100 and up to 1000. Learning and exercising are via blocks, number rows and place-value boards. Symbols language reduced to essentials is an aid in this respect. The numbers pyramids graphically combine addition and subtraction. This actively encourages and promotes the acquisition of flexible solutions strategies.

Multiplication & Division

In appolino® Multiplication & Division, comprehension is built up and internalised, without simply drilling multiplication tables. Multiplications and divisions can be illustratively solved on the numbers row and the dot array right up to 1000. Relationships become visible and clever solutions options are encouraged. Riddles of the «numbers maze» challenge pupils to have fun using their multiplication and division knowledge.

arithmetic box

Using the appolino® arithmetic box, pupils can set their own tasks and create individual solution routes. Irrespective of whether 7 + 9 = ? , 473 – 199 = ?, 7 x 9 = ? or 144 : 12 = ? is involved, a number of strategy options will provide the correct answer. The idea is to imaginatively use blocks, number rows, points fields or place-value boards. The appolino arithmetic box is not a simple pocket calculator, but rather an interactive computation machine.

Appolino was fun. Some levels were difficult and long, but it was fun anyway.
